yesmail.com Adds Four New
Partners to the YesMail Network
Nov. 1, 1999--
IDG's TipWorld, Homestead.com, Colleges.com and Net Nanny Software to increase reach,
demographic diversity of leading independent permission email network
yesmail.com (NASDAQ: YESM), the leading provider of permission email marketing
technologies and services, today announced at @dtech `99 that four new partners have
joined the YesMail Permission Email Network(TM) - IDG's TipWorld, Homestead.com,
Colleges.com and Net Nanny Software. These Internet leaders represent a wide spectrum of
Internet users - from college students to families to business people and computer fans -
and will enable yesmail.com to expand the reach and diversity of its network. The YesMail
Network consists of more than 60 Network Partners and provides ecommerce companies access
to millions of consumers who have given their permission to receive promotional messages
targeted to their personal interests.
"Our network strategy is serving us extraordinarily well," said Dave Tolmie, CEO
of yesmail.com. "On average, we are adding between 15,000 and 20,000 new YesMail
Members per day who originate on our Network Partners' sites. In addition, we periodically
transfer hundreds of thousands of consumers at a time to our network that have an existing
permission relationship with one of our partners. By teaming up with leading Internet
companies like TipWorld, Homestead.com, Colleges.com and Net Nanny, the YesMail Network
will continue to grow both in terms of size as well as consumer make-up, thus maximizing
the value we deliver to our marketer clients."
YesMail Network Partners offer YesMail as a value added free service to their subscribers.
By outsourcing their permission email marketing to yesmail.com, Network Partners can
generate a recurring revenue stream. In addition, YesMail partners receive powerful list
building and management software that enables them to create and maintain a valuable
business asset - a permission email list.
This network-centric business model allows YesMail to rapidly grow its leading permission
email network by leveraging the marketing efforts of its partners to drive consumer
traffic to their sites.
The four new companies that have joined the YesMail Network include:
-
TipWorld - IDG's TipWorld is the leading publisher of advice, news and learning by e-mail.
Each business day TipWorld delivers over 4 million newsletters to subscribers around the
globe. TipWorld will make YesMail available as an optional service to its subscribers,
enabling them to receive information, promotions and product discounts in interest
categories that they specify.
-

everything from sharing information with family and friends, to coordinating local
community efforts, to launching their small businesses online. YesMail will be offered as
an optional service in the Homestead.com registration process. The two companies will also
work together to make YesMail available to existing Homestead members who wish to opt in.
-
Colleges.com - Rated the top college Internet site by USA Today, Colleges.com is renowned
for it's "virtual campus" through which web site visitors can "walk"
through the different buildings ranging from the Student Center to the Coliseum. Each

are free and include services such as Colleges.com's proprietary Ultimate Challenge online
games, a sophisticated college search engine, e-mail, disk space, chat, news, and a
"Word of the Day" email service. Colleges.com is partnering with yesmail.com to
add permission email to its list of offerings and generate a recurring
revenue stream while enabling its subscribers to receive great deals and promotions on
products and services that match their interests.
-
