ONElist Brings ICQ Instant Messaging to Its 200,000 Global email Communities

New Feature Extends Group Communications Services and Provides Members with the Widest Variety of Community-Building Tools

communicate with one another using ICQ (http://www.icq.com) the highly popular instant messaging technology from America Online, Inc. (NYSE:AOL).

With this new feature, ONElist members can easily and quickly identify which of their fellow email community members have an ICQ account, determine whether or not they are simultaneously on-line, and then activate the ICQ functionality to instantly message one another -- adding a fun new dimension to the ONElist experience.

Using ICQ with ONElist

At registration, ONElist members are can include their ICQ account number within their Member Profile and begin enjoying the new feature immediately. To ensure privacy, personal ICQ account numbers are made visible only to fellow members of the distinct communities each individual joins, helping members control access to this information. ONElist members who are not active ICQ members (or who have not yet added ICQ account numbers to their ONElist Member Profile) can enable the new functionality at the ONElist Members Center, accessed through the ONElist home page.
